The Maltese Falcon (1941)

This week A Cosmic Void dives into the film that's widely credited with starting the noir movement in film: The Maltese Falcon. John Huston's first turn at directing started a whole genre, hit the AFI's top 100, was one of the first movies preserved by the Library of Congress, and came up with an all timer for a macguffin. This episode breaks down the tangled web of lies woven intricately within the plot, talks about it's wide influence on movies, and shines a light on the greatest second to last line of a flick ever (hint, it's not "huh?"). Check this one out!

We probably dive way to deep into a film about a time traveling housewares clerk with a chainsaw arm fighting deadites, but we'd have it no other way. Every reference is explained. Every lack of nuance of time travel is explored. And every nonswear uttered and removed from TNT is uncovered. Buckle up bonehead, you're going for a ride!
